Service Appointments

We are a busy, full-service shop with broad service capabilities!  We 💕, prioritize, and extoll the virtues of the fine people who call to make a service appointment.  We try to be accommodating if time allows, but each day’s priority is customers who made service appointments.  We can’t store your bike nor take drop-offs till “a spot opens up”.  Call 207-244-5856 FMI.

Certified Mechanics

Our mechanics are experienced adults and several have graduated from courses at the Barnett Cycling Institute, United Bicycling Institute, and the Park Tool School. One person works on your bike start to finish to reduce errors.

Check-Ups and Tune-Ups

We offer all services for all brands throughout the year, from general check-ups to standard tune-ups to extensive maintenance service.  Our mechanics can advise you on the appropriate level of attention your bike needs. A standard tune-up consists of checking all adjustments (e.g. truing wheels, checking bearing preloads, adjusting brakes and cable tensions, etc), lubing all cables, pivots, and chain, and light cleaning. This usually involves 45 minutes to 1 hour of work. We can adjust the level of service up or down (i.e., to repack bearings) upon request.

Repair

We also do specific repairs on almost all brands, not just what we sell.  Not all shops do!  We have repaired everything from a WWII Victory bike to recumbent electric trikes to vintage Bridgestones and Rivendells. We stock hundreds of parts, and if we need something else, we can usually get it within 48 hours. We are always glad to provide an estimate before starting any work.

We are factory-trained on the exceptional Bosch e-bike drivetrains- as used in the excellent Gazelle e-bikes we sell.  We limit work on other-brand e-bikes to basic mechanical repairs only.

Bike Parts and More

We stock and sell tons of bike parts, tires, and tubes- even for baby joggers, strollers, garden carts, pony carts, and wheelchairs.

Hourly Rate

$85 / hour for standard work.  Higher rate for bike assembly (conventional and e-bike) if you bought it  elsewhere.

Air is Still Free!

TIRE TOP-OFFS ARE ALWAYS FREE. And we have a wide selection of pumps- floor, frame, and pocket.  Plus, we’ll show you how to work those tall skinny Presta valves.
